The MATASA 30th Anniversary by Fonseca is a cigar factory in the Dominican Republic where Fonseca cigars have been produced since 1974. This cigar was created to celebrate the founding of the company, was introduced in 2005 in only two sizes: a perfecto, and toro. A medium brown complexion with a nice prelight aroma. A lot of veins on wrapper but burn and draw are excellent, and flavor is simply o.k. with some earth, spice and cocoa on the final third. The wrapper for this cigar was selected from some of the oldest and finest Cuban-seed tobaccos, and due to this selection of leaf, the Quesada’s could only produce 30,000 cigars.
